Sands is a roguelike inspired by Dune, a fan project exploring the deep mysticism, survival, and political struggles of Arrakis.

What is Sands?

You play as a Fremen, caught in the tides of prophecy and survival, navigating the harsh desert world while unraveling the rumors surrounding the Lisan al-Gaib—the voice from the outer world. Your journey branches into two distinct paths:

• Radical: Embrace the prophecy, fueling a holy war in the name of destiny.
• Skeptic: Question, observe, and shape your fate based on logic and survival.

This is a true roguelike:
✔ Procedurally generated levels – No two playthroughs are the same.
✔ Permadeath (with state saving on exit) – Every decision carries weight.
✔ Tiled world map – Navigate the shifting sands of Arrakis.
✔ Resource management – Water is life; handle it wisely.
✔ Dynamic abilities – Unlock skills through quests and choices.

The game is heavily inspired by Dune lore, providing a fresh perspective on the story while staying true to its themes.
