Patch Notes - Major Gameplay Changes
Water System Update
- Sietch water rings will now fully fill your water to max capacity instead of just giving +1 per ring.
- This makes the quest ring prize feel much more meaningful!
Literjon Cap
- To balance the water ring change and Literjon harvesting, Literjons are now capped at a max of 5.
More Thematic Enemies
- Worms are no longer a target! It felt unthematic for Fremen to hunt them, as they are seen as holy.
- Instead, in the Desert, you'll face Smuggler Recon Teams and Harkonnen Deserters.
- Some will have ranged weapons but are easier to take down.
- This makes for a more lore-accurate experience while also letting you get items earlier without having to kill tough enemies like small worms.
Here She Blows! Spice Blows!
- New mechanic for Deep Desert!
- Deep Desert is now enemy-free (the -2 water cost is punishing enough).
- However, when entering a Deep Desert tile, you may witness a Spice Blow!
- This event does two things:
- Spreads valuable spice in the area (since worms no longer drop spice).
- Summons BIG WORMS
(not the small ones you could fight before).
- This is NOT a fight you can win—so remember: walk without rhythm!
Trance Ability Changes
- Instead of draining water over time, Trance now consumes water per attack.
- Each attack has a 50% chance to cost 1 water, but you still get 3 attacks in a row.
- This keeps it a powerful ability while making water management more strategic.
Stay hydrated, stay sharp, and may Shai-Hulud watch over you!
