Sands v0.1.13 - Update Released!
New Features & Improvements
- Shield-belt Animation – Shield-belts now show a pulsing blue animation when worn by NPCs or the player.
- Smarter NPC Grouping – NPCs now spawn in formations based on their type. Smuggler recon teams will stick together instead of randomly mixing with Harkonnen deserters.
- Improved Targeting & Scouting
- You can now (l)ook at a marked target to see its description.
- Enemy marking now lets you cycle through all NPCs in the level, not just those in weapon range. This allows better strategic planning before engaging.
- Balanced NPC Movement – NPCs now move as quickly as the player, preventing easy kiting and ensuring melee enemies close the gap faster.
- Improved Player Visibility – The player sprite has been updated with more color to stand out better from NPCs.
- Paul’s Tent is Now Bigger – Increased its size to make it easier to spot in the desert.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug in the Harkonnen quest (Skeptic path) that prevented completion.
- Fixed log messages to be more clear and consistent.
New Weapon: Maula Rifle
A new specialized ranged weapon that packs more punch but requires skill to use effectively:
- Damage: 2
- Extended range compared to the Maula Pistol.
- 33% chance to miss – The rifle is powerful but unreliable unless you invest in the Marksman skill to improve accuracy.
